BABY BOY GRADUATES YEAR 12

Riley just had his last few days at school.
Above is the dorm he has been living in this year
These are some of his good mates that he is already missing
Graduation dinner was a black tie affair at Flemington Racecourse, very posh.

all of the years 12's looked lovely all dressed up.
There was dinner and dancing. It was freezing cold outside
but a nice change from the horrible heat we are having here.
Now Rye joins the work force...schools out.

BABY GIRL TURNS 13

Mia's 13th birthday present, getting her ears pierced.
she was nervous but she said it was worth the small amount of pain

and we've been spending more time at the river.

September in the Kathe-rine 2012

We have had a gorgeous dry season this year, lots of cold weather mostly at night and beautiful warm days. Its come to an end but slowly, the weather is still really nice and the river is at perfect levels at Knotts Crossing. We are trying to spend as much time as we can down there before the rain starts.
The 2 Mia's, such good friends and i love seeing them like this all giggly and doing little girl stuff, because they are young ladies now.
Diva always has fun at the river.
 a real water dog
We recently did a day of canoeing at Katherine Gorge, about 3klms around trip to the first gorge.
We went with Clare and her girls and had a great day, every muscle ached the next day but it was worth it.
I took these today on the river, just Diva and i. Mia is in Darwin with netball and Riley has flown in and bought a car today ! his school days are over. They will both be home tomorrow, so for now i'm enjoying the quiet.
Hard to get photos of these birds because missy kept chasing them.

KATHERINE IN JULY 2012

Riley on the river after a hard day of work.
Mia and Imogen in the snow on a recent trip to Mt Buller, Victoria
Mia's show entry at todays Katherine Show, decorated biscuits, they didnt win but they were lovely.
Mia's photo of her eye did win the creative junior section.
And me, after 20 odd years of entering i finally won the big prize...yay me !

DARWIN in May

Riley and Diva on Casuarina beach, he's happy to be home.
Mia and CJ  displaying a burst of energy
 So cute and grown up.
 teaching Diva to body surf
she seemed to enjoy the salt water.
they don't see each other much because CJ attends school in Darwin but when they do catch up it's always lots of laughing.
 Riley made a friend
exploring the beach on a lovely Saturday afternoon.
a chilly breakfast of Laksa in Rapid Creek park before heading home.

TERRITORY THUNDER

I got to spend the weekend with my boy. He was supposed to play with Thunder but is still recovering from an injury. They flew him up anyway to meet the team and officials. He caught up with fellow team mates Roy and Damian..the 3 Katherine boys selected for Thunder.
They played Victorian Metro and beat them by 18 points
It was freezing in Darwin, a cold wind blew all day and night.
Mia and CJ giggling as usual.
Riley couldn't play but he ran the water all night so at least he got to be part of the action in a small way.
Sunset over TIO Stadium was gorgeous and that's when it got really cold. Loved seeing my boy and spending time with him and the girls and Diva who came along for the ride.

KATHERINE in May 2012

Our beautiful Diva on one of her afternoon walks.
Mothers Day at the Coffee Club where we had a lovely brunch, Bruschetta.
Mothers Day afternoon was spent at the Low Level with friends and their daughters and dogs. Diva did have a great time despite the look on her face.
Mia, Rosie, Mia and Diva
Today Mia went to the Races with the Hortons, i didnt feel like it. The morning was spent getting ready. This is the before photo.
This is the after. Stunning. Mia on the left is wearing a dress by George and shoes by Difelli. Mia in blue was wearing a dress by Purple Patch, shoes by Corelli.
They looked like models, which was scary.
The entire family scrubbed up well and they said that it was a good day, weather was perfect.
