Liverpool has lots of old lovely buildings. Today i did the bus tour which takes 50mins and goes all over the city. The weather was kind and the sun poked it's head out a few times but the wind was biting.
Below is the front of my hotel, its a huge building and has around 440 rooms
The Mersey river. Where ever i went today i heard music playing, usually the Beatles but sometimes any song that mentions Liverpool, like Ferry cross the Mersey by Jerry and the Pacemakers i heard that one all the time, started to annoy me and now i know it and its stuck in my head.
This building overlooks the river. I liked the waterfront area better than the city which feels a bit crowded by buildings and people.
The architecture is a real mix of old and new sitting side by side, not sure what i think of the museum below.
King George on his horse, i forget why..the bird on his head is real.
This is the inside of my hotel, this area is called the mezzanine, its really elegant and old world, reminds me of the 1920's...not that i was around then.
All this for $45 a night and my room is huge and has a fireplace, foyer and large bathroom with a huge bath, its all very posh
Thank goodness this hotel has a lift because i don't think i could have dragged my bag up all these stairs.
I slept in this morning and didn't get walking till 10.30am which is the latest start to a day that I've had but i must have needed it. Tomorrow i really am unsure which direction to go in, my head is spinning so I've decided to stop stressing over it and just go to the airport and see what grabs me...i got really shitty with myself before making this decision because i just couldn't make up my mind what to do. So who knows where i will be tomorrow night ? Ciao from Liverpool.
