Wednesday 11th November London, England
Today was a quiet day for us, not so much walking and riding buses. We started walking at 7.30am and headed over to Notting Hill, I love walking the streets at this time, passing everyone as they head off to work. Notting Hill was lovely and we walked a few streets like Portobello road. Then we headed along Kensington Gardens Road past Embassies and very posh houses, its a lovely road with Kensington Palace in the background, I really love this part of London. We came out onto Kensington High st and headed down Queens Gate road towards the museum. The British Museum of Natural History is a must see when you come to London. Its huge and the Building it is housed in is straight from Harry Potter, it is absolutely beautiful, I took so many pictures ! We were lucky because Sir David Attenborough was there doing a book signing which was great but at the same time bad because the place was full of people there to see him. The museum is so interesting and the kids got right into it and got a kick out of seeing the mammal collection which included Kangaroos, Koalas etc. I think we spent 3 hours there walking the halls. Afterwards I decided it might be a good idea to give the buses a miss and try the underground ! Scarey, but I worked it out and soon we were on our way from South Kensington to Edgeware road where we walked down to Oxford street. Riley needed jeans and a long sleeve T-Shirt...it took ages for him to pick things out and try them on, there were so many people, Mia and I sat patiently on a bench and waited. After that painful experience in Primark,..we caught the underground to Lancaster Gate and walked back to the hotel in a light drizzle of rain. Sorry that i'm not updating every night but sometimes i'm just to buggered. .

What a joy it is to read about your adventures. We are so thrilled that you are having so much fun. No wonder you are buggered, you are cramming so much in,but I guess that is why you are there.
Sounds like Riley will handle Melbourne,Victoria's weather and Kilmore's taxi service with great ease. Can just hear Mia at the wax museum, and what a catch for you Amanda- isn't he just the man!
It is so hot here ,only high 30's but for about 10 days and more to come and its still November.
No news on a house sale yet, tenders close in 3 weeks. Hope we can still build.Blackmans are coming this weekend,so guess Linz could down a beer or two over the golf (on TV). Keep laughing, and say hello to Beatrix Potter if you meet her.xx Jude
