I CANT GET ON THE BUS !

Monday 9th November . London, England

Today we walked and walked which is weird considering I bought a hop on hop off bus ticket. This morning we walked to Oxford street via Hyde Park where we saw the squirrels and more Autumn leaves, its beautiful in the park early in the morning. Our first hop off on the bus tour was the Changing of the Guard near Buckingham Palace. We had 10 mins to walk from Nelsons Column through Admiralty Arch and down the Mall to the place where the changing starts, that was the start of a day spent running/walking fast to catch buses we kept missing. So much for hop on hop off, we never seemed to be able to hop on, constantly missing the bus by minutes which meant a lot of walking. I could write a whole page on the pain in my legs !! We started at Marble Arch and finished at Tower Bridge, having walked most of the way but we saw so much. Its a beautiful city and so far although its icy cold, it hasn't rained on us and the sun has been shining a lot. By the time we walked back to the hotel through side streets because Riley had the map, it was dark and extremely cold. We had biscuits and fruit for dinner because we just didn't have the energy to go and get anything else. Its dark here at 4.30pm which I will never get used to. Mia wants to say hello.
Mia = Today when we were trying to chase the bus again we were walking to Tower Bridge past all these dungeons and a really tall man who had a big black coat on and black hat just stared at me and when he heard mum say Riley he said Riley in a really creepy voice, it scared me. I finally saw Big Ben and it was better than I thought it would be. My favourite part of today was the Changing of the Guards. Hello Daddy if you are reading this. Hello Micro if you are reading this. We hope you're not barking to much, we miss you.
Riley = Today we took the bus around London. It was fun but we kept missing the bus so instead of waiting for the next one mum made us walk to the next bus stop. The locals over here are stuck up but foreigners like us are alright and the young English girls aren't that bad either. Hahaha I'm having heaps of fun and seeing heaps, miss u all back home and hope your OK.

This is Riley and i trying not to argue over the map...i think we need to go this way...no its this way blah blah blah. Big Ben and The Houses of Parliament are behind us.
This is autumn in Kensington Gardens/Hyde Park. This was taken at a spot called the Fountains. We enter the park at this spot everyday. It is just stunning and i must have taken hundreds of photos but i cant help it, everyday i find another photo opportunity. My favourite part of London.Riley and Mia standing on London Bridge with the Houses Of Parliament and Big Ben in the background. This area was a favourite with the 3 of us. Ben and the Houses just leave me speechless, the architecture and detail in the buildings is amazing. I love it.
Nelsons Column Trafalgar Square was enormous and very impressive. The National Gallery sits in the background and the whole area is lovely, very stark and open with no greenery. Looks very Greek to me. The Changing of the Guard was so interesting and the kids loved it also. So much history and i'm glad we didnt miss this because it was worth the run down the Mall in new bootsAn American asked me to take his picture then he took ours. We are wearing so many clothes, its a wonder we can walk.
Mother and daughter at Buckingham Palace. Palace was impressive but not as much as i thought it would be, but still worth a look.

hi amanda and rats. Glad you are having fun. Autumn was also my favourite time of the year. I also took detours across the park to see the squirrels. Can't wait for the next edition. Weather very hot but getting teased by some rain 10mm still safe
