Breakfast at Alf and Karen’s was delicious and plentiful, thank you…with full bellies we went hiking with Alf up Glen Arriff to see the scenery of the real Scotland. I took 300 photos !! the scenery was breathtaking and we loved the walking.Spotted snow up on the hills, it was cold but because there was no wind it was almost pleasant…5 degrees. Afterwards Karen put on a wonderful lunch and we had a great time talking and laughing. Thank you Alf and Karen we really enjoyed seeing you. We are now on the road again and headed to Glasgow. More later.
This is the view from the dining room window out over Karen and Alf's backyard.

what wonderful memories you are gathering (and stirring up here). Our heat wave has passed and it has rained and rained, about 40 mm here and over 120 mm at the top of the Ovens River ,Mt Hotham.
Hope Mia and Riley are going to be true to their heritage and try the haggis and black pudding!!!!
When do you think you will get to Europe? Looking forward to the next photo session and blg. Thanks for keeping us so informed. Love Jude and Linz

Great to read your updates. The scenery looks beautiful. It is raining very gently as I write this...which has given us a bit of respite to the 40 degree heat we have had for almost a week. So a bit of wind chill our way would be rather nice.

Can you send some of the rain as well as the cold? I only watched part of the news at work before and heard about all those bridges collapsing in the floods in England. Be careful where you driving! We had about three mls of rain this afternoon, cooled it down a little bit. Hopefully this is the start of the wet.
We miss you three!
When are you going over to where you have to drive on the "right" side of the road? Hear from you soon. Cheers Anna
